Cruz Castillo

Cruz Castillo is a Native American – Mexican American actor, writer, and producer born and raised in Los Angeles (Tongva Land). Like his Native Tiwa, Tepenhuan, and Nahua ancestry, he is a storyteller who creates across multiple media platforms. He has worked on various film projects with companies ranging from NBCUniversal to CTV Canada. Cruz will receive his MFA in Creative Writing from the Institute of American Indian Arts in 2022 where he is working on his first novel. His newest project Ellay, a series about how expensive it is to be poor, will be premiering in 2021.
