In 2010, the National Hispanic Media Coalition (NHMC) created the Scene Showcase, a program that uplifts and promotes talent in the entertainment industry. In order to see an artist’s true work–from an actor’s facial expressions to a cinematographer’s camera composition–it is better appreciated from the lens of a camera. Within the past few years, our program has evolved from onstage performances to full on-set productions. This is how The Stream Showcase was born: a series of  scenes written by, starred in, and directed by talented individuals both in front and behind the camera.
